Wet Roads Likely To Blame For I-40 Deadly Crash
WILSON COUNTY, Tenn. – Wet roads were likely to blame for a deadly crash on Interstate 40 in Wilson County on Sunday morning.
Tennessee Highway Patrol officials said Charity Williams was driving a car near mile marker 245 around 8 a.m. when she hydroplaned, went across the median and into oncoming traffic.
The 25-year old hit a garbage truck head-on, and she was ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the garbage truck was not hurt.
