I-65N Reopens After Multi-Vehicle Crash In Southern Kentucky
FRANKLIN, Ky. – Interstate 65 northbound has reopened hours after a multi-vehicle crash in southern Kentucky, not far from the Tennessee line.
The crash happened around 5:30 a.m. Monday, just past mile marker 6 in Franklin, Kentucky.
Officials said a semi-truck hit an icy patch on the roadway, and then struck two other tractor trailers, causing the chain reaction crash. Two other cars were reportedly involved.
At least one person suffered minor injuries.
Transportation officials had earlier reported that travel in Kentucky was difficult due to snow and slick roadways. They were plowing and treating roadways as needed.
