WB Lanes Of I-24 Closed In Trigg Co. After Semi-Crash
TRIGG COUNTY, Ky. – The westbound lanes of Interstate 24 in Trigg County, Kentucky have been closed due to a crash involving two tractor trailers.
Officials with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said both westbound lanes of I-24 have been closed at mile marker 60.
The cause of the crash was not immediately known, but authorities said two tractor trailers jack-knifed, blocking the roadway. The wintry conditions may have been a factor in the collision
Parts of Southern Kentucky have been hit with freezing rain and sleet. Officials said numerous other crashes have been reported in Trigg County.
Officials said the crash was estimated to be cleared in three hours' time. No detour has been established.
