NASHVILLE, Tenn. – One of two pedestrians struck by a car in Antioch Thursday night has died from his injuries.

Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said 18-year-old Logan Watkins died Friday morning at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Watkins and 17-year-old Andrew True were standing along the north side of the 3200 block of Towne Village Road just before 9 p.m. Thursday when they saw two dogs fighting across the street. Police said they attempted to run across the roadway to break up the fight when they were struck by a car.

Watkins, who lived on Towne Village Road, was critically injured and taken to Vanderbilt. True suffered minor injuries.

Police said the driver of the car, identified as 23-year-old Jaimie Glatt, said she was not completely aware of what had happened. She drove a short distance to her parents' home and called police.

No charges have been placed against her currently, but police continued to investigate.
