No Charges Against 7-Year-Old Who Brought Gun To School
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A 7-year-old boy who brought his mother's pistol to school with him on Tuesday will not be charged.
Police said the student showed the trigger-locked .22-caliber pistol to a fellow student at Inglewood Elementary. The other student reported it to a member of the faculty.
The 1st grader put the gun into his backpack at home without his mother's knowledge. Police said the trigger lock safety device was intact when the gun was recovered at the school.
Police allowed the boy to go home with his mother.
