Traffic Stop Leads To Arrest Of Accused Convenience Store Robber
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A traffic stop led to the arrest of an alleged convenience store robber who was also a convicted felon on probation.
An officer stopped a Pontiac Grand Am around 2:45 a.m. Friady on Harding Place for having a blown headlight. The driver, identified as 22-year-old Keith Dairus Boone, was wearing a gray and black Oakland Raiders cap.
The officer remembered that a man matching Boone's description and wearing a similar hat was involved in the armed robbery of the Buy and Save Market on Glenrose Avenue at 9:25 p.m. Thursday.
Detectives responded, and discovered a 9-millimeter semi-automatic pistol under the driver's seat.
Boone admitted to officers that he robbed the store and the cash he had on him was stolen.
Boone was convicted of facilitating aggravated robbery in January 2013 and received a three-year probated sentence. He was held in lieu of $130,000 bond.
