Police Searching For Suspects In Series Of Armed Robberies
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police have been searching for two brazen suspects in a series of armed robberies near Trinity Lane on the northeast side of Nashville.
The first robbery happened on November 27 at the Piggly Wiggly on 2317 Dickerson Pike, just north of Trinity Lane. Officials said the suspects demanded money after entering the store armed with handguns and wearing masks over their faces.
Surveillance cameras caught the incident on video.
A similar incident happened about a month later on December 23 at the Wendy's on 3021 Gallatin Pike, two miles away from the first robbery and also just north of Trinity Lane. Surveillance images showed one of the suspects jumping over the counter with a mask. He was also wearing gloves.
Officials said the suspects were unable to take any money after the cashier struggled to open the register.
A third incident happened January 13 at Inglewood Title Loans, located about one block north of the Wendy's. Surveillance showed just one suspect entering the business and demanding money.
Investigators with the Metro Nashville Police Department have asked anyone who recognizes the suspects or knows anything about the robberies and attempted robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 615-74-CRIMES (615-742-7463).
