Longtime Barber Shop Broken Into

Longtime Barber Shop Broken Into

CREATED Jan 22, 2014

NASHVILLE, Tenn - In 40 years of owning his own barber shop, Bob Blair, has never had a security system and never had insurance. He hasn't needed it. No one has ever tried to break in until Tuesday.

Blair went to open Mr. B's Barber Salon Tuesday morning and found the glass of his front door shattered everywhere. Police looked for a bullet, but did not find one-- so it may have been an airsoft pellet which hit the glass.

Whoever it was didn't take anything. Blair's shop is full of mementos from his childhood.

"I don't think I have any enemies," he said jokingly. "I don't hold any animosity against them. I'm not a hateful person. They're the ones who have to live with it."

Blair has spent his career helping people with his shop. Whether it's getting them off the street and giving them a job, or giving away free haircuts.

Blair paid for the replacement glass himself, and plans to reopen Wednesday.
