Home Destroyed By Fire In Lincoln County
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. – Crews responded to calls of a large house fire in Lincoln County. The house was destroyed by the flames, leveling two walls and leaving only a shell of the structure standing.
The fire broke out sometime before noon Friday at the two-story home on Remington Drive in Fayetteville. The home, just off Raby Road, was gutted by the fire.
Video from the scene showed hundreds of bricks and rubble on the outside of the front and side, where large portions of the walls seemed to be blown out. The garage door seemed to be melted and the entire roof was missing. There were no support structures on the interior, and the inside of the remaining brick walls were scorched black.
It was unclear if anyone was inside the home at the time of the fire or if there were any injuries.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
An estimate of the damage was not available, although the house was a total loss.
