Fairview Schools Placed On Precautionary Lockdown
FAIRVIEW, Tenn. – Fairview Middle School and Fairview High School were placed on precautionary lockdown after police responded to an issue near the schools.
Officers with the Fairview Police Department responded to reports of a suspicious male in the area with a camouflage bag Wednesday afternoon.
Officials with Williamson County Schools said the precautionary lockdown was issued because the incident happened in front of the middle school.
Police searched the area, but did not find anyone matching the description.
Buses ran up to an hour late because of the incident. Students were being released and loaded onto buses by around 3 p.m. Officers were on hand in the area when students were released.
Police were continuing their search for any suspicious activity in the area.
After school activities at Fairview Middle School were canceled as a result of the search.
