Well-Known Manchester Restaurant Destroyed In Fire
MANCHESTER, Tenn. – A well-known restaurant in Coffee County has been destroyed by a fire.
The fire broke out Thursday, at the J and J Restaurant, located on highway 41 in Manchester. Fire crews arrived on the scene just before 1 p.m.
Heavy smoke was scene pouring out of the building as firefighters worked to contain the blaze and salvage the building. Crews said the roof of the building suffered extensive damage as a result of the fire.
Locals said the iconic restaurant had been in operation for more than 50 years and was a symbol of the community.
No one was injured as a result of the blaze.
