23-Year-Old Man Arrested In North Nashville Shooting
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A 23-year-old man has been taken into custody in connection with a shooting in north Nashville last month.
Gary Floyd was booked into the Metropolitan Jail Monday night on charges of attempted criminal homicide and probation violation.
He had been wanted in connection with the shooting in the 1600 block of 22nd Avenue North on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 16.
Floyd had apparently gotten into an argument with 34-year-old Jason Rhodes the previous night. Police said Floyd drove to Rhodes' home and confronted him before the shooting.
Police said Rhodes was among a group of people who were sitting outside the home when he was shot around 5:30 p.m.
Rhodes was shot in the abdomen. He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment.
Details about what led to Floyd's arrest were not immediately available. His bond was set at $250,000.
