NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Two men have been indicted in connection with a fatal shooting on Ellington Parkway back in March.
Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said Barry Eugene Moore, 27, and Antonio L. Porter, 21, have been accused of shooting and killing 21-year-old Justin Roake on March 15.
Roake and a 19-year-old friend were traveling north on Ellington Parkway when shots were fired into their car by someone in a passing vehicle. Roake was struck in the head and died at the scene.
His passenger was not injured during the incident.
Prior to the shooting, police said Roake and his passenger stopped at the Mag Market on Dickerson Pike, where Moore and Porter were also said to have been at the time.
According to investigators, Roake’s passenger reportedly fired a pistol in the air as the car pulled away from the store, which led to the fatal shooting.
Indictments were issued for Moore and Porter on Friday. Neither one of them has been located.
