2 Arrested After Breaking Into Home With Teenager Inside Alone
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Two burglary suspects were taken into custody after they broke into a home in Old Hickory.
Metro Police say 21-year-old Angelo Gleaves and a 17-year-old broke into a home on Stokely Lane while a 15-year-old was inside the home alone.
The suspects knocked on the door and when no one answered backed a car into the driveway.
The teenager inside the home called her father and then called 911.
The suspects came in the house forcing the 15 year-old inside to hide.
Officers arrived and spotted both suspects as they fled toward the Cumberland River.
Numerous citizens assisted police in reporting their direction of flight.
Gleaves jumped into the river and had to be rescued.
The 17-year-old was apprehended by a canine officer near the river’s edge.
Both suspects are charged with aggravated burglary, vandalism, felony theft and evading arrest.
