The Brewers are without two starting outfielders on Wednesday against the Cubs, with Carlos Gomez injured and Ryan Braun back in Milwaukee.
Gomez injured his wrist on Sunday, and Braun is with his wife as they prepare to welcome a child into the world. Gerardo Parra gets the start in right-field for Braun, while Logan Schafer is starting in center field.
Another noteworthy inclusion in the lineup is Matt Clark at first base. Clark was called up earlier this week, and recorded his first career hit last night with a double.
Matt Garza also makes his return to the mound for the Brewers. This will be Garza's first start in about four weeks after suffering an oblique injury during a start in St. Louis against the Cardinals.
