Rodgers' accolades rise even more

By Jay Sorgi. CREATED Aug 30, 2013

Another publication says that Aaron Rodgers is the best offensive player in the National Football League.

ESPN.com released its ranking Friday, saying Rodgers had the top spot, with Calvin Johnson of the Detroit Lions No. 2 and Adrian Peterson of the Minnesota Vikings No. 3.

Rodgers is also the NFL's all-time top ranked quarterback in terms of career passer rating, and he continues a 20-year-plus tradition of dominant quarterbacking with the Packers.

He took the 2011 NFL MVP award and the Super Bowl MVP after the Packers' win in Super Bowl XLV the previous season.

Even if he forgets where his Super Bowl ring is.

But think about it.  Adrian Peterson and Calvin Johnson haven't had their own day in their state, have they?  Rodgers has.
