GREEN BAY - Packers running back DuJuan Harris has taken to the practice field for the first time this training camp.
The team took him off the PUP list, where he had begun camp with a knee injury.
"I love my teammates," Harris told TODAY'S TMJ4's Rod Burks.
"I'm happy to be back with them. I've been missing them a lot."
"I came off the field one play, and I took a knee and I took some water, and I heard (Ryan Pickett) say 'Oooh, look at Harris!' " explained defensive lineman Ryan Pickett.
"I turned down, I saw a bunch of dreads swinging left and right, and he was flying. I said 'Boy it's great to have him back.' "
Harris came on strong in 2012, running his way into the starting lineup and helping the Packers into the postseason.
"Harris, the way we finished the season, I would classify him as a starter on our team," said Packers coach Mike McCarthy.
"That doesn't mean he goes out and plays every down. So I have that confidence in him."
