GREEN BAY - The Green Bay Packers have chosen to halt practice for Monday, about 12 hours after reports of a torn ACL for tackle Bryan Bulaga and an apparent workout for former Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Vince Young.
Questions have abounded about the purpose for canceling the practice.
Was it to avoid the media after those two breaking stories?
Is it even to just let Vince Young have a private workout without the media around?
Why you would lose valuable practice time your team needs in a highly competitive NFL - solely to avoid media?
As it turns out the Packers said those were not the reasons why they were taking that step. They don't stop football development to avoid media scrutiny.
Instead, it was due to what a team staffer told TODAY'S TMJ4's Lance Allan was a "team building activity." They did not initially divulge what that activity was.
