Green Bay to discuss taxing Packers rental homes
GREEN BAY - They're considered the ultimate Packers places to party for fans going to the game. Big spenders shell out thousands for a week.
Now, party house owners are bracing for a possible new tax, and the regional tax commission is looking to tax them like any other local hotels
“If they're operating as hotels we think they should collect the appropriate taxes,” said Lawry Larson with the Green Bay area Room Tax Commission.
Local home owners have opposed the new plan. The tax commission plans to tackle the issue when they meet next week.
