GREEN BAY -- Packers backers tailgated and cheered their team on to victory.
The Green Bay Packers’ 38-20 win over the Washington Redskins delighted fans who came to support their team.
“It’s the home opener,” explained Packers fan Josh Hundsrucker. “It’s the start of the season. It says, hey, we got more of these to go. ‘’
Bryan Kunkel traveled from Seoul, South Korea to visit relatives and catch a home game.
“I just came up here to visit my family. I haven’t been to the States to see them for ten years,” said Kunkel.
Another fan, Jim Nelson, left Cedar River Michigan Saturday morning at 4:30.
“It’s the inaugural game with this little bus we have here,” laughed Nelson. “So we have all the comforts of home.”
The comforts include a big flat screen TV and the sizzle of brats and burgers. Sandy Hundsrucker was here with her husband Josh and other members of her family. She not only helped cook, she also go the kids ready for the sitter.
“Our wedding day we were here. I’m a huge Packer fan!” announced Hundsrucker.
Everyone we spoke to predicted, correctly, that their home team would dominate here at Lambeau Field.
