GREEN BAY - The backside protector of Packers QB Aaron Rodgers will have surgery to repair a torn ACL, according to a report Tuesday morning.
Second opinion is back on Packers LT Bryan Bulaga: He'll have surgery to repair a torn ACL once the swelling goes down, per league source.— ProFootballTalk (@ProFootballTalk) August 7, 2013
He went for a second opinion with noted surgeon Dr. James Andrews, but results have apparently shown he will need the surgery which would seemingly - but not necessarily - end his season.
According to NBC Sports/Pro Football Talk, the Packers have the option of keeping him available for return if it heals, possibly by the end of the regular season or the playoffs.
However, coach Mike McCarthy wasn't so optimistic.
