Snow Chances Down The Road

It's been a struggle to see sunshine the past several days or even weeks. Friday we have a decent shot for at least partly sunny skies.  With the little bit of sunshine, high temperatures should reach 30 degrees.  Some patchy fog may develop tonight, under partly cloudy skies.  Lows temperatures tonight will fall into the teens.

Clouds return Saturday as temperatures remain slightly above normal.  Sunday should be a few degrees warmer yet, with highs approaching the middle 30s. A warm front brings a chance for light snow Sunday afternoon.

We're still closely watching a storm system for the first half of next week.  As of right now, it looks like a rather unique storm set up.  An area of low pressure will track out of the northern Rockies and eventually stall out over the Great Lakes, giving us precipitation chances Monday, Tuesday, and into Wednesday.  As this storm system stalls, it will also draw in warmer air, leaving us with more of a wintry mix than all snow.  With lots of people traveling, this storm still is worth monitoring closely.
