Where does a selfie cross the line from bad form to bad taste? How about one such cell phone self-portrait snapped in front of a bridge where a man was threatening suicide, with all the drama playing out in the background.
That’s exactly what happened this week when an unidentified woman snapped this photo of herself, as well as a distraught man on the Brooklyn Bridge and the police officers who were trying to save him. The shot ended up on the cover of the NY Post, captioned with the inevitable headline “Selfie-ish.”
As the Post reports
, “With scores of onlookers watching the dramatic 10 a.m. rescue by cops, the crass camerawoman turned her back to the scene, angled her phone toward the bridge and snapped a shot,” while cracking a small smile.
The man was eventually helped off the bridge by police.
Meanwhile, the photo has already joined the NY Post’s previously published gallery of worst selfies ever. View it here
