Mickey Rooney dies at 93

Sad news out of Hollywood on Sunday night. KTLA Los Angeles is reporting that legendary entertainer Mickey Rooney, a star of Hollywood’s golden age, has died at the age of 93. Rooney had reportedly been in poor health for quite some time.

He spent nearly is entire life in show business, and was one of the most famous child actors ever. He starred with Elizabeth Taylor in one of the biggest movies of the ‘40s, “National Velvet,” which helped launch Taylor’s career.
 
Rooney appeared most recently in the 2011 film “The Muppets.”
