GREEN BAY, WI --Students at Lombardi Middle School may soon be getting quite the upgrade on their education.
The Shopko Foundation donated a check for $1,000 dollars to the Technology Department.
NBC26's very own Brie Groves presented the check to Technology teacher Clint Griffith.
The foundation sponsors NBC26's Partners in Education segment, along with the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce.
The money will go toward a new smart board for the classroom, a necessity for this class.
"We have a white screen I have to put it up, and then I have to project on a white board on the background and draw over the top of the drawings and pull the screen back down, so what I've drawn disappears and the kids lose that information that I have so I have to go back and forth and it's going to be a lot more convenient," said Griffith.
Pathway to Engineering is part of a larger program that gets students interested in science, technology, engineering, and math.
