Green Bay--PMI Entertainment and the WIAA announced the Resch Center will be the home of the Girls State Basketball and Volleyball Tournaments for the next 7 years.
The Green Bay Convention and Visitors Bureau estimated the two tournaments to be a $4 million boost to the local economy.
The WIAA was just one year into their contract for the State Girls Basketball Tournament. The Associate Director of WIAA Basketball says they're hoping to surpass 40,000 attendees this season.
The hotels and businesses nearby also played a factor in the final decision.
"They really made the athletes feel special," said Brad Toll, President of the Green Bay CVB.
The State Volleyball toournament has been in Green Bay the last 12 years.
Now twice a year, people from all over the state will come to Green Bay to see their student athletes play at the Resch Center.
Tickets for the Girls State Volleyball Tournament in November, go on sale September 30.
