Green Bay Offers Virtual City Planning

CREATED Jul. 24, 2013

GREEN BAY -- Did you miss the public workshop for Green Bay’s downtown master planning process?

The Downtown Citizen Steering Committee invites interested community members to visit the project website and participate virtually from the convenience of your smart phone, tablet, or computer. Just go to: Click on “Participate” to provide your views on the questions asked of the community at the June 27 public workshop.
Leaders with the project want to know:
What is great about the downtown?
What is missing from the downtown? (What can still be improved?)
How do you know when you are in the downtown? (What are its defining characteristics?)
Follow the signup process to create a login, then join the forum and leave your comments. Comments received by August 23 will also be taken into consideration by the Citizen Steering Committee for the initial draft of Green Bay’s Downtown Master Plan. Click on “Documents” to view the presentation given at the June 27 public workshop and for a report of the results of the workshop.
The last time the city developed a downtown master plan was 1997. A set of near-term implementation strategies and a longer-range vision for the future are both needed in order to position the downtown for continued growth and stability.
