GREEN BAY, WI- City leaders are moving forward with two major developments in the downtown area. City council approved a new brewery operation and a five story apartment complex.
Titletown Brewery expanding to the old Larson Cannon Company building. City leaders approving the estimated 20 million dollar project which would include a larger brewery, retail space and an event hall. For several years now Titletown owner Brent Weycker looking to expand his restaurant.
"Tourist destination where you're coming in, taking a tour and then having lunch and checking out the museum," says Weycker.
The council also reviewing a new apartment complex on the corner of Main and Washington.
An 11 million dollar project with 84 units. The city providing 2.34 million dollars in TIF funding for the project.
"Can't really have a lively downtown that's going to be active and alive 24/7 unless you have people living down here," says Economic Development Director Greg Flisram.
Titletown hopes to begin construction in mid-October. As for the apartment complex city leaders expect that to begin in December.
