GREEN BAY -- A sex offender hoping to live in Green Bay will have to find a new place to call home.
49-year-old Samuel Brandt is set to be released from prison next week. The city's Sex Offender Residency Board originally voed to allowed Brandt to live in a restricted area. But after concerned neighbors circulated a petition, today the board revised its decision. It's a move parents are applauding.
"With their bus stop being right down the road from his house, sometimes because I have three children, I can't be there all the time, so I don't feel comfortable letting them get on or off the bus by themselves," says mother of three daughters Jennifer Piotter.
Brandt has the option to go before the board in the future and make another request to live in the city.
