Packers Youth Football Camp Kicks Off
Green Bay, WI -- Just a few weeks before the start of training camp, the Packers' youth camp kicked off Monday at Green Bay East High School. It features several former Packers players like Ahman Green, Bryce Paup and Bill Schroeder. Organizers say it's a great way for kids to stay in shape during the summer and learn about football at the same time.
"We are going to teach them the skills that are going to be necessary for them to be successful at all of those levels. It's basic fundamentals stuff, footwork, hand placement, eye placement, that kind of stuff that's going to help them no matter what level of football they play," said Keith Vanden Heuvel, Senior Director of the Packers Youth Camp.
The youth football camps are open to kids ages 6 to 14. The camp at East High School runs through Friday.
