GREEN BAY -- Samuel Brandt made his second appearance before the city's sex offender residency board Wednesday. In July, while Brandt was still in prison, the board allowed Brandt to live with his parents on Huron Road in Green Bay.
But after public backlash from concerned parents, the board reversed its decision in August. About a dozen parents fighting to keep Brandt out of their neighborhood showed up to the most recent meeting, several of them speaking up about their concerns.
Brandt and his parents denied requests for interviews and they did not say if they plan to appeal again. Brandt is a convicted sex offender, required to wear a GPS monitoring system on his ankle. He was released from prison in August after serving 8 years for sexually assaulting an 11 year old girl.
