APPLETON, WI- An Outagamie County leader under fire after storm sirens failed to sound during the August 7th tornadoes. Members of the county's public safety board are discussing possible disciplinary action against Emergency Management Director Julie Loeffelholz. The storms did about 31 million dollars worth of damage in Outagamie County. Neighbors have been questioning ever since the storm why the sirens never went off.
"Our eyewitnesses out on the ground were aware there were tornadoes and strong damaging winds. That came in through the comm center which should have activated the sirens," says County Board Supervisor Tanya Rabec.
