Siren Debate Continues In Outagamie County

APPLETON, WI- Outagamie County leaders are calling for an independent investigation after sirens did not sound during the devastating storm on August 7th. County leaders are picking Fox Valley Technical College to lead the review.

County board members recommending Emergency Management Director Julie Loeffelholz be disciplined for her lack of action during the storm.  Now calling for an outside investigation into the county's emergency response system as a whole.
"Find ways if we can to improve things."
Dean of Public Safety Patricia Robinson at Fox valley Tech leading a team of experts in public safety and emergency management. Checking to see if the emergency system in the county needs to be changed. 
"You look at overall, what are the policies. What are the procedures in place and were they followed," says Robinson.
County Leaders say this review will not recommend any disciplinary action toward the Emergency Management Director.
