HOWARD, Wis. -- Troops overseas will soon get a special treat. The Howard Dental Center is collecting leftover Halloween candy for its Operation Gratitude campaign. Donated candy will be sent to soldiers who are far away from their families.
"We are also asking children to write letters, draw pictures and we will be sending those overseas too," Howard Dental Center's Cheri Ertman explained.
Mouthwash and toothpaste are also being accepted. Donations can be dropped-off on Thursday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
