BROWN COUNTY -- OWI Deployments are out in full force this weekend in Brown and Manitowoc Counties. Law enforcement are cracking down on fans going to and from the game, sending out a warning, not to drink and drive.
In 2012, four people died on Brown County roads in drunk-driving related crashes.
“You don't want to risk getting hurt, or hurting someone else,” said Eric Schlichting, who is watching the game with his family from Oshkosh.
The WOI Deployments are just in time for another preseason game.
“In Brown and Manitowoc Counties this weekend you'll definitely see an increase law enforcement presence,” said Mike Panosh, Wis. State Patrol Regional Program Manager.
And with this being a Gold Package game, many fans are driving up from Milwaukee.
“It's our goal not to stop anyone, because people are doing things the right way,” said Panosh.
Besides the Packers game, the OWI Task Force will also be focusing on the area near the Manitowoc County Fair, which runs through the weekend.
