GREEN BAY, Wis.- The cold and snow outside isn't stopping people from enjoying the farmer's market. New Leaf kicked off their season today at the KI Convention Center in downtown Green Bay.
The farmer's market will run on select Saturday's throughout the season. It features more than 80 vendors selling local meats, fish, cheeses, produce and prepared foods as well as cooking demos and live entertainment.
"We started this market a few years ago to really start connecting growers and consumers and give people the experience of what it's like to be really close to your food source," said Karen Early with the Brown County UW-Extension.
The market is in it's fourth year. It's free and open to the public.
