GREEN BAY--The Green Bay Diocese announcing a daytime shelter and resource center that will open in downtown late October. The Micah Center will be located on Walnut Street and will be open 12 months out of the year. It will offer addiction counseling and resume building among other programs to help homeless people get back on their feet.
It will be part of the St. John Evangelist Homeless Shelter Ministry but will open to anyone. Executive Director Alexia Wood says they expect to see 40 people a day.
The Green Bay Diocese bought the building for $300,000.
