APPLETON-- Outagamie County emergency management leaders say there was a lack of communication between the board and the agency's director regarding updating a repeater for the storm sirens in the county. That was one of several issues discussed at the Emergency Management Committee meeting Wednesday.
Emergency Management Director Julie Loeffelholz met with the emergency management committee for the first time since the August 7th storm that caused $30 million in damage. Public Safety Chairman Jim Duncan says some of his questions for Loeffelholz were answered, but several more remain. He hopes to know more following an independent review being conducted by a panel being selected by a group at Fox Valley Technical College. That committee is still being formed.
Meanwhile, emergency management is holding an after action review meeting Thursday to discuss the storm and the response and improvements that need to be made for the next storm.
