NEENAH, Wis.- October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and today hundreds of people turned out in Neenah for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk.
This year Shantrell Williams, wife of Packer Tramon Williams, joins the fight. The walk honors breast cancer survivors and raises money for education and prevention.
"The research is incredibly important, we're not going to find a cure without it. We absolutely need to be funding that research to make sure that we find better treatments, maybe easier treatments for women and men," said Laurie Bertran of the American Cancer Society.
Since 1993 more than 9 million walkers across the country have raised $528 million through Making Strides Against Breast Cancer events.
