KAUKAUNA - New rules and a herd size update were part of Monday night's annual spring deer management meeting with the DNR.
In Outagamie County, DNR biologists say the herd size hasn't changed much since last year. But they did mention a few rules they're looking into for upcoming seasons.
"They're discussing fishery rules and advisory questions from the congress here. Just advisory -- so they're not real law changes yet, but they're just trying to gauge public opinion," said wildlife biologist Bryan Woodbury.
DNR experts say when it comes to the spring summit, public opinion is taken into high consideration.
