Marinette--The Future of Marinette Marine's Littoral Combat Ship Program is being threatened. So far, Marinette has built two $480 million warships, with more to come.
Several key lawmakers are questioning cost overruns and quality of the ships being built in Marinette.
Lockheed Martin executives released a statement saying, "We believe our portfolio of products.....are well aligned with the government's priorities.....we are confident in our team's progress on the LCS program and look forward to continuing to bring these ships to the U.S. Navy.
Governor Scott Walker wrote a letter to Congress asking that any amendment brought to the house floor that would disrupt production of these ships be voted down.
