GREEN BAY, WI- If the government shutdown continues job seekers and those applying for unemployment benefits could find the doors locked at local job centers. Programs at the job center here in Green Bay are federally funded and also free. So if job centers close down many people could have trouble finding employment.
Steve Anderson is one of the five to six hundred people coming into Green Bays Job Center every week looking for employment. He wouldn't find work without the center's assistance and computer lab programs.
"Many times you cannot go and fill out a paper application, everything is computerized," says Anderson.
