GREEN BAY - History came to life at Heritage Hill Saturday, with a lesson on the fur trade in Northeast Wisconsin hundreds of years ago.
Actors dressed in period costumes from the 17th and 18th centuries and demonstrated how the area's earliest settlers adapted to life in the new world.
"Hopefully the kids as they come through are getting an idea of what life would have been like during the fur trade era here in Wisconsin," said reenactor Joel Barthel.
Saturday's event also featured historical cooking techniques and games settlers played hundreds of years ago.
