GREEN BAY - Hundreds gathered Sunday afternoon in hopes of finding justice for Julia.
The Green Bay Distillery hosted a benefit in honor of Julia Sumnicht. She died in 2010 from an overdose of GHB, most commonly known as the date rape drugs.
Authorities now consider Julia's death a cold case, but her friends and family say they're still looking to find justice through private investigators.
"At this point, we strongly believe that there were two suspects involved that have not been held accountable, have not even been spoken to yet.. and that something needs to be done," said Julia's mother, Marie Sumnicht.
Proceeds from Sunday's event will go to the Justice for Julia Fund and to the Humane Society in honor of Julia's love for animals.
