GREEN BAY, Wis.- It's a buzz that can be felt all across Titletown as the green and gold get back in action. Fans and businesses can't stop talking about the start of the season, saying football is what makes this town tick.
Vanessa Riley is stocking up on Packers gear, but besides being a fan, football is essential to her work too.
"It's my uniform. I drive for Yellow Cab, I'm driver 44, so it just promotes the business you and encourages the team," said Riley.
Taxi services have phones ringing off the hook with so many people calling for cabs from hotel rooms and bars even with away games, but drivers aren't the only ones running around.
"It was really exciting to come into work a little early and see a line lined up ready to come in and support the Pack," said sales clerk for The Jersey Store, Tracie Bryfczyncski.
At least ten people were waiting outside The Jersey Store on Holmgren Way Sunday morning. It's a site not common for an away game, but it keeps stores around the stadium in business.
"We definitely need the Pack to have a great season and keep bringing in revenue for all the businesses here," said Bryfczynski.
At The Bar they're also seeing increased sales. According to Aaron LaCrosse, a bartender there most of the business they get is during the Packer games.
For a home game he says The Bar could see at least 1,000 people and is packed wall to wall. For away games they're equally busy, but in a different way.
"A lot of people are calling watching the games at home, which we still accept deliveries. We have our delivery drivers running a lot," said LaCrosse.
Many business owners saying what they're seeing this weekend is nothing compared to how many people will flock through their doors next week for the Packers first home game against the Washington Redskins.
