GREEN BAY - The Dental Associates clinic in Green Bay hosted "Give Kids a Smile Day" on Friday.
17 children with the Brown County PALS program received a full dental exam and any necessary treatments free of charge.
They also learned how to properly clean and care for their teeth.
"We want them also to understand that diet and nutrition really falls into a major role in dentistry, we want them to understand that water in between meals is the norm, and that's what they should be drinking," said pediatric dentist Clint Rau.
As part of Dental Health Month, dental assistants are traveling to 15 schools to teach students about the importance of dental health.
