GREEN BAY - Community members gathered Sunday afternoon to remember one of their own.
A gazebo in Olde North Crossing was dedicated in honor of Bonnie Homan.
Homan lost her battle with cancer last January. She was a neighborhood leader who ran the Mill Town Cafe, volunteered with the Red Cross, and co-chaired the annual Thanksgiving meal at Lambeau Field.
"She was never one to do things for the glory of it. I think it's a terrific honor to her and everything she stood for, everything she believed in," said Bonnie's husband, Mike Homan.
A sign reading "Enter a stranger, leave a friend" will be attached to the gazebo in Bonnie's memory.
