Fire on Green Bay's East side
GREEN BAY -- A fire on Green Bay’s east side sends black smoke into the air, which was seen from miles away.
The fire broke out just before 3:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon in the 1300 Blk. of Reber St.
The building is a total loss, but no one was hurt.
Five other structures around the building were also damaged by the heat.
Fire crews say they're trying to figure out what was inside the building.
“I haven't been able to talk to the owners, but I know there were several cars in it,” said Mark Plate, Green Bay Battalion Chief.
The fire was knocked down within fifteen minutes, and the Brown County Fire Investigation Task Force is determining a cause.
The estimated damage is about $200,000.
