Stephenson, MI-- An emotional plea is coming from a Marinette woman looking for the driver of a car who hit and killed her son.
"Please come forward, I just need answers, “pleads Eileen Edwards.
Edwards is the mother of 22-year-old Timothy Meade, who was hit by an unknown vehicle while he was walking along Highway M in Shawano last summer.
Now the grieving mother just wants just wants to know what happened.
"How someone can live with the fact that they hit him and left him and just carry on with their normal life, I mean it's ripped our family to shreds, “she said.
Edwards and her family are passing out hundreds of flyers in and around Shawano. They are hoping to trigger a memory of June 28, 2013. That's when police say Timothy Meade was hit and killed by an SUV or truck in the early morning hours while walking to a friend’s house. He was last seen drinking at The Shack, a bar less than a mile from where his body was found.
The Shawano County Sheriff's Department began its investigation four and a half months ago.and still do not have any leads.
"Even though if someone feels it may not be important to them, it could be very important to us," Det. Sgt. Gordon Kowaleski told NBC26 back in June.
Meade is originally from Stephenson, Michigan. He graduated from Marinette high school in 2009 and was enrolled in the welding program at NWTC when he died.
