APPLETON-- Students and teachers at Edison Elementary in Appleton held an assembly today, celebrating the school being in first place in the "Calling All Communities Campaign."
The winning school gets a $25,000 prize. Edison is hoping to use that money to go toward a wellness room at Edison.
"We are actually one of the only schools in the area doing this contest. So you don't have to worry about not voting for your child's school," says Physical Education teacher Chuck Hurkens.
The wellness room would feature interactive games and activities that make exercising fun.
